“The second day of July, 1776 will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”- John Adams
2nd President of the United States
The second day in July is a cause for celebration though, it is my Dad's birthday!! Happy Birthday Dad. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the holiday and more importantly your freedom. Go America!!
Our classes were canceled so we also celebrated our Independence from school. That was great! We had a pretty laid back morning. We ate delicious crepes for breakfast and I got a little crazy with the sewing machine when I decided to make a fourth-of-July-outfit for Maddie. We also went to two BBQ's, watched fireworks from out back porch and ate chips and homemade salsa for dinner.
Here are some pictures.
"All Done"HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

I love the 4th of July outfit you made for Maddie!! How cute! The "pizza" looked awesome. Sounds like you and Aaron had a busy and fun Independence Day celebration. Did I mention how cute Maddie looks in her outfit? Ah, well, some things bear repeating.
Maddie is so adorable! Don't you just love dressing her up all the time! So cute! and love her little outfit!
I think you are right - I used to make up words too, before I could actually talk. But I know for a fact all my stuffed animals knew exactly what I was talking about. I'm sure Maddie's do, too.
