street festival

We were enticed to this street festival because the advertisements said there would be a parade. Maddie loves parades.

 We found a pie contest and a pretty church handing out plastic zipper pouches.

 and plenty of grass for running.

 can't forget the balloons.

 the road was blocked and we were ready for the parade to start...

 we waited...

 we were happy waiting, especially since we had fruit snacks.

 we waited some more.

 and it finally came!!

 It was small but there was candy.

 and according to Maddie, thats the most important part.

 There are probably more pictures in this post than floats in the parade.
