Happy Birthday Maddie

Before we left for Boise, we had a little birthday breakfast for Miss Madelyn. I can't believe it has been a year since she was born. It feels like it went by so fast but at the same time I feel like she has always been a part of our lives. I certainly can't imagine life without her. Some friends from the ward came over to celebrate. This is Jason, one of Maddie's favorite friends because he knows just what to do to make her giggle.
Every time we visit Temperance, Maddie plays with this pearl necklace. So, Temperance gave it to Maddie for her birthday. Thanks Temperance!

Today is Maddie's actual birthday but it wasn't as exciting as her party. We drove back from Boise. Maddie did really well in the car. She slept most of the way and casually drank some milk. When we got home we ran a few errands and she fell asleep on the way home. We put her to bed and she woke up an half an hour before bedtime. We figured she would stay up for a while but she fell asleep again a half an hour later. She wasn't on her normal sleep routine in Boise so maybe she is catching up. So, she pretty much slept through her birthday.
